Alkinoos Ioannidis – “Temporary Immortality”

12, 13 & 14 July 2026 | Eptapyrgio Festival

Voci Contra Tempo joined Alkinoos Ioannidis for “Temporary Immortality”, a new musical production created especially for the Eptapyrgio Festival and presented for the first time on 12, 13 and 14 July 2026.

At the heart of the performance was the idea of a “temporary immortality” found in love and song. Alongside Alkinoos Ioannidis, Voci Contra Tempo, conducted by Sofia Gioldasi, shared the stage with Lena Chatzigrigoriou on violin and baroque recorders.

The ensemble’s female voices blended with acoustic instruments, electric guitar and electronic elements, creating the soundscape for a programme that brought together familiar and lesser-known songs by Alkinoos Ioannidis, as well as previously unreleased material.

    Founded as a non-profit organisation, Voci Contra Tempo is a vocal ensemble based in Thessaloniki, Greece, promoting and presenting choral repertoire to the public. We function as a project choir and our members are classically trained singers who are passionate about choral music. We have performed in various venues in Greece and last summer we made our international debut in some of the most prestigious choral festivals in Europe: the “Guido d’Arezzo International Choral Festival” and the “Incontro Internazionale Polifonico ‘Città di Fano’”
