40th International Choral Festival of Preveza

In July 2022, Voci Contra Tempo was invited by the International Choral Festival of Preveza to participate as the laboratory choir of the 5th Choral Conducting Masterclass and the 1st Choral Conducting Competition, led by Ambrož Čopi (SL), Vytautas Miškinis (LT), Javier Busto (SP), Gary Graden (SE) and Sofia Gioldasi (GR), with participant conductors from Greece and abroad. They also gave two concerts during their stay, one of them being part of the Masterclass and Competition schedule and the second was a Homage to composer Mikis Theodorakis.

    Founded as a non-profit organisation, Voci Contra Tempo is a vocal ensemble based in Thessaloniki, Greece, promoting and presenting choral repertoire to the public. We function as a project choir and our members are classically trained singers who are passionate about choral music. We have performed in various venues in Greece and last summer we made our international debut in some of the most prestigious choral festivals in Europe: the “Guido d’Arezzo International Choral Festival” and the “Incontro Internazionale Polifonico ‘Città di Fano’”
